Bring your dog to Aabenraa's forests and plantations
Let your dog loose in Aabenraa's dog forests and parks. In and around Aabenraa you will find both urban and remote nature areas where your four-legged friend can let loose.

Aabenraa's dog forests are partly fenced and partly unfenced. In Lerskov Plantage, for example, you can practise your dog's balance on the balancing equipment, while in Torp Plantage you can take your dog out into the open meadow. See the list of Aabenraa's dog forests below:

Lerskov Plantage Dog forest
This fenced dog forest, which has been created in a collaboration between Genner Local Council and the Danish Nature Agency, is located approx. 6 miles north of Aabenraa near the town of Genner.

Nørreskov Dog forest
Nørreskoven on the northern side of Aabenraa is classified as a dog forest. The forest is not fenced.

Torp Dog forest
Near Uge, south of Aabenraa, you will find the fenced Hundeskov Torp Plantation. Parking is possible at the forest.

Fenced dog forest near Kruså, close to the Danish / German border.

Lyreskoven Dog forest
An unfenced dog forest around Smedeby near Bov, close to the motorway—ideal if your dog needs to burn off some energy and stretch its legs.

Kiskelund Plantage Dog forest
At Kiskelund plantation, the eastern part is laid out as a dog forest, the dog forest is not fenced. From Aabenraavej, turn towards the campsite / petrol station (Aabenraavej 7). The plantation is on the right just before the campsite. Take the dirt road a few hundred meters, and park your car. The dog forest starts here.
