Waking Up Santa Claus in Aabenraa

Help Wake Up Santa Claus in Aabenraa

On Saturday, 21 November 2026 at 10:00, the traditional Santa Claus wake-up event returns to Storetorv in Aabenraa. Bring the children along for a festive morning as everyone gathers to wake up Santa Claus and mark the beginning of the Christmas season in town.

Before Santa wakes from his sleep, Christmas music will fill the square. Santa's helpers will also make an appearance, joining the children in celebrating the start of this year's Christmas festivities.

Free Bags of Sweets for Children

During the event, each child can receive one free bag of sweets. These will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is recommended. Bags of sweets will be available while stocks last.

Explore Aabenraa's Festively Decorated Pedestrian Street

After waking up Santa Claus, continue your visit with a stroll through Aabenraa's pedestrian shopping street, beautifully decorated for Christmas.

The festive decorations create a welcoming atmosphere as you explore the town centre and enjoy the Christmas spirit at your own pace.

The pedestrian street leads directly past Julehjertebyen, making it easy to combine the Santa Claus event with a walk through the decorated town centre and a visit to the Christmas village.
