On the water in Sønderborg
Vacation in the Sønderborg area, especially on the island Als, is associated with water.
Excursion boat and bicycle ferries.
Take a trip from Sønderborg – throughout the summer, you can sail on the Feodora II to Langballigau in Germany, from where you can continue your journey by bike or take public transport back to Sønderborg. From Egernsund, there is a bicycle ferry to Langballigau with several daily departures – the route can also be used without a bicycle.
Remember to bring your passport, and if the dog is coming along, make sure you have the rabies vaccine in order.

Bringing your kayak on holiday?
Island Als and the Sønderborg-area provides you with good access to the water, set the kayak to water and explore the island from the seaside.
On the sound Als Sund you´ll often find quiet waters in lee of the wind and here you can set your kayak in the water at Verdens Ende (the end of the world) under the Alssundbridge.

Kayaking round the peninsula Kegnæs is also a possibility, however, you´ll need to carry the kayak the short distance over the dam Drejet.
