History is an important part of Gram, not least at Gram Slot, which dates back to around 1470. Today, there is much more to experience than the historic buildings alone.
Throughout the year, Gram Slot hosts concerts, markets and guided tours, and you can experience a traditional cake buffet, Sønderjysk Kaffebord. Visit the animals in the mini zoo, stop by the café or browse the farm shop, where you can find products from Gram Slots organic farm, such as dairy products, meat, flour and cereals.

There is much more to discover in Gram than Gram Slot. Follow the red signs or use the KulTour app to explore the village and learn about its history, notable personalities and development. Along the way, you will pass Gram Slotskro before continuing into the centre of Gram. On the way back, take a stroll through the castle gardens before returning to your car.
Next, head to the clay pit at Museum Sønderjylland, Gram Lergrav for an experience the whole family can enjoy. Explore the exhibition and see Denmark’s largest whale skeletons, belonging to whales that are now extinct. Bring your wellington boots and head down into the museum’s clay pit, once part of an ancient seabed. Here, you can search for fossils and then examine your finds in the museum laboratory.
Stop by Gram Fritidscenter, where the indoor activity area invites children to move, climb and play. Race down the large slide from the balcony before finishing with lunch in the café. When the weather allows, you can also take a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool.
