Havnbjerg Mølle Museum

Havnbjerg Mølle has become extra famous after it was chosen as the main location in the film "In War and Love".

The beautiful thatched windmill from 1835, is located high on a hilltop above the town of Havnbjerg and with the church, Havnbjerg Kirke as a neighbour.

Today, the windmill is a museum, where you can meet the millers during opening hours, who are happy to show you around and tell you about the history of the windmill.

Havnbjerg Mølle is closed between Christmas and New Year.

A small movie anecdote
The mill is equipped with a wind rose that automatically adjusts (turning the mill cap and blades in relation to the wind), so when the director wanted the blades in a specific position for the filming of the movie I Krig og Kærlighed (In War and Love), he had to climb into the lift on a windless day and turn them by hand, which took several hours.

More information about the mill is found on Havnbjerg Mølle - history
