Historiecenter Dybbøl Banke is closed from 7 September 2026 to 31 May 2027 due to a comprehensive renovation and development of the centre’s buildings and interpretation facilities.

Although the history centre’s buildings and exhibitions are closed, we will continue to offer guided tours and educational programmes by prior arrangement throughout the renovation period. Activities take place, among other locations, on the Dybbøl battlefield and in our reconstructed redoubt and soldiers’ camp, where the story of the 1864 War continues to be brought to life for groups and school classes.

All visits must be booked in advance.

The History Centre will reopen on 1 June 2027, and we look forward to welcoming visitors back to new and improved experiences.

Dybbøl Mill remains open as usual until 31 October 2026. Following the winter closure, the mill will reopen on Saturday, 20 March 2027.
