
Købingsmark Beach
Lovely beach on the northern part of the island Als, close to holiday home area and camp site with kiosk.
Child-friendly beach with a jetty and public toilets. Naturist swimming is allowed 300-400 metres to the right of the parking area.
Pets on the beach?
From April to September, dogs must be kept on a lead.
This beach has been awarded the Blue Flag, where in 2022 the zone was active 5 June - 15 September. The pet owners and the four-legged friends can stay on the beach and swim outside the Blue Flag Zone - see pdf under Download.
Dogs and other domestic animals may pass the zone at the back of the beach, but may not stay on the beach or in the water within the zone itself - with the exception of service and guide dogs.
Personal water crafts
PWC's like jet boats etc. may only be used under consideration for bathers. Read more about the rules in force here.
Winter bathing spot 2025-26
From 15 September 2025 to 31 May 2026, a new flag will be waving at the beach for the first time.
Købingsmark Beach has been certified, along with two other winter bathing spots at Kær and Ballebro, which means that as a user, you are guaranteed certain conditions, such as clean bathing water, safety in the form of lifesaving equipment and good access to the water.
FOLLOW THE 8 WINTER BATHING TIPS
Before you go into the water:
1. Check the bathing conditions and familiarise yourself with the safety equipment
2. Watch out for ice on stairs and jetties
3. Lower your body gently into the water
4. Never bathe alone
When you are in the water:
1. Breathe calmly
2. Keep an eye on each other
3. Stay close to the stairs or jetty
4. Never swim under the ice.
