At Danhostel Sønderborg-Vollerup, you have almost seven acres of grounds to enjoy, with courtyards and plenty of activities for children. They can have fun in the playground, try the zip wire, bounce on the trampoline, go climbing, play mini golf and meet rabbits and coatis.

While the children explore, you can find a quiet spot in one of the courtyards, with cosy seating areas and an aviary.

Danhostel Sønderborg-Vollerup is spread across several buildings with a total of 43 rooms, most with a private shower and toilet. There are also 10 holiday cabins.

You can buy food at the family café Abildgaarden or prepare your own meal in the communal kitchen. Barbecue facilities are also available.

Danhostel is located in Vollerup in eastern Sønderborg, just a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Sønderborg.

From here, you can easily visit several attractions in the area. Thomas Eje Galleri, Augustenborg Palace and Dybbøl Mill are all around a 15-minute drive away. You can also visit Universe Science Park and Center Parcs Nordborg Resort on Nordals, or head south across the border for a trip to Flensburg.
