The best viewing spots for the 3rd stage of the 2022 Tour de France
We provide you with tips for where to watch the Tour de France on July 3rd 2022. Click on “map” if you want an overview of all the locations.
Haderslev Cathedral
By Haderslev Cathedral the route runs on a section of cobblestones, which is always interesting for spectators.
Sdr. Vilstrup
The stretch on Vilstrup Bysvinget from the entrance of town to the right turn on Havvejen. The riders must slow down and there is lots of space on both sides of the road for spectators.
Genner Strand
By Genner Strand the viewing conditions are good, and you might be able to see the “mountain sprint” at Cõte de Genner Strand.
Skibbroen i Aabenraa
The riders pass through Aabenraa on the road Skibbroen along the harbour. They will most likely be speeding by, but there is ample room for spectators and on the day, there will be plenty of activities along the harbourfront
Gråstenvej i Felsted
Aabenraa municipality has declared Felsted to be a hotspot in the municipality. Therefore, there will be lots of activities throughout the village on July 3rd 2022. The riders enter town on Møllevej and continue through the roundabout on Gråstenvej. This should be a good location to see the riders up close.
Slotsbakken i Gråsten
The riders enter Gråsten on Felstedvej and in the cross section with Slotsbakken, they must make a sharp left. This intersection has plenty of room for spectators and the riders must slow down to make the turn. Once the riders have passed, we recommend that you stop by the Royal Vegetable Garden, which is located nearby.
Dybbøl Banke
When the riders pass the cobblestones of Dybbøl Banke you would expect that they need to slow down a bit – even if they are much faster than any of us can dream of! Still, this should be a good location to see the riders up close.
The harbourfront in Sønderborg
If you can get a spot near Chr. X Bridge in Sønderborg, you might get lucky and see the riders twice. They cross the bridge from Dybbøl and after a small loop through town they pass the bridge again on Nørre Havnegade.
The finish line at Augustenborg Landevej
It will be incredibly fast, but most enthusiasts still want to see the riders of the Tour de France cross the finish line. Whether there is access to Augustenborg Landevej for the general public, we do not know yet. As soon as we know something we will update this page.
