On a forest outing in Sønderborg

It's high up to the treetops, and our many beautiful forests invite exploration of the lovely nature - or perhaps even an overnight stay?

Adorned beautifully by forests

By the daring waves of the Baltic Sea, an island rises gracefully, adorned beautifully by forests, gently covered in green - The Alssang actually describes our area quite fittingly, as does the Danish national anthem "Der er et yndigt land," as some of our forests are coastal, and the beech trees mirror their tops in the blue waves.

Many highlight their large, deep forests with proud beech and oak trees, as well as cultural and historical landmarks - we have those in our area too. But we also have a particularly special little forest of just 42 hectares, where you'll find Southern Jutland's largest collection of burial mounds - Blomeskobbel.

If you want a more geographical overview, choose the map view.
