The night is full of sounds! The rustle of mice in leaves and grass - the hooting of tawny owls in the summer night and the hoarse cries of foxes in winter.
Primitive tent sites
Set up your tent at one of the primitive camping sites, often equipped with a fire pit and a table-bench set.
Most of the primitive tent sites are free to use. There are a few on private property where you pay a small fee, but it comes with luxuries like toilets and running water.

Small tent site with campfire site in the Blomeskobbel forest, approx. 25 metres from Alsstien.
Iller Strand Naturlejrplads
Large tent site directly on Flensborg Fjord and the Leading Quality Trail, Gendarmstien. Reservation not possible.
Shelterplads Syd
5 shelters at Kær Vestermark, each capable of accommodating 4-5 people, and space for setting up 4-5 tents.

Primitive tent site at Arnkil with a view of Als Sund. Shelter at the site must be booked in advance.
Sønderskoven Als Naturlejrplads
The site is located right on the coast, just 11 metres from the Gendarmstien trail by Sønderskoven on the island of Als.

Private tent site in the garden, with access to toilet and possibility for shower, just 1.5 kilometres from the LQT quality hiking trail Gendarmstien.
