Along the Alsstien, you'll find 9 shelters with accompanying fireplaces.
Shelters designated as "Hay-hotel" are established in connection with the Rideruten Als, but they can also be used by other nature tourists. Unlike the other shelters, which operate on a first-come, first-served basis, here you have the option to reserve a spot. A "Hay-hotel" shelter has an enclosure for horses and water, but there is no hay provided, so you still need to bring a sleeping pad. Contact information can be found for each shelter.
If you bring your dog on the trip, it is welcome at the following shelters: Solbækvej, Oldenor, Noldes Plads, Torup Strand, Taksensand and Blomeskobbel.
Shelter Solbækvej
Smaller shelter in a small forest, 100 metres from the Alsstien hiking trail. Booking is not possible and tenting is not allowed.
Oldenor Shelter
Located directly next to the Oldenorstien and the Alsstien hiking trail. Reservations are not possible and tents are not allowed.
Oldenor - shelter Sølvhejren
Must be booked in advance - mini shelter for max. 3 people, directly at Oldenor and the hiking route Alsstien. Tenting is allowed.
Nordborg Sø Shelter
Shelter with room for 4 people, directly next to the Alsstien hiking trail. Reservations are not possible and tents are not allowed.
Shelter Mosestien in Havnbjerg
4-person shelter on the outskirts of Havnbjerg near the forest, Oksbøl Skov and the hiking route Alsstien.
Shelter Torup Strand
Shelter located in the forest approx. 50 metres from Alsstien. Booking is not possible and tenting is not allowed.
Shelter Noldes Hytte, Nørreskoven
Shelter for 4 people in forest Nørreskoven Als, close to Alsstien. Reservations is not possible; tenting is subject to the rules for Teltning i det fri.
Shelter Taksensandpladsen
Located in Nørreskoven Als, just 50 metres from Alsstien and close to the coast. Reservations are not possible.
Stenkobbel Hay-Hotel - Shelter
The shelter in Nørreskoven Als can be booked by horse riders, cyclists and hikers. Distance and to Als Bridle Route: 650 metres.
Blomeskobbel - shelter Fjordterne
Must be booked in advance - mini shelter for max. 3 people, situated in the small forest Blomeskobbel, directly at the hiking route Alsstien. Tenting is allowed.
Mommark Marina Hay-Hotel - Shelter
Shelter in overnight enclosure near the bridle route, Rideruten Als. Must be booked before arrival; tents are not allowed.
