Smach – Sønderjysk Food Festival

The programme for Smach – Food Festival and Cooking Competition offers both events with free admission and the option to buy tickets for the afternoon coffee and cake and the long-table dinner in the evening.

On the big screen, you can follow the four chefs as they compete to win the competition for the best regional dish from Sønderjylland.

The day rounds off with live music and a cosy atmosphere at the venue, Sergenten.

Programme for the day

Gastronomic food market

Here you can meet local and national producers, sample specialities and buy food and drink from selected food stalls offering gourmet street food. From 11.00 to 19.30. Free admission.

Cooking competition

Four chefs will compete in preparing traditional South Jutland dishes in front of a panel of judges comprising renowned top chefs. The cooking competition will be shown live on big screens, so the audience can follow the chefs’ work and experience the intensity in the kitchen at Sergenten. From 12.00 to 16.00. Free admission.

Coffee and cake

Come and enjoy a coffee and cake spread with all the trimmings. Here you’ll naturally find a wide selection of soft, hard and dry cakes, as is only right and proper. From 15.00 to 16.30.

Tickets for the coffee table will go on sale soon.

Award ceremony

Which of the four chefs will take home the trophy and be crowned the winner of Smach 2026? The result will be announced at around 4.30 pm. From 4.30 pm to 5 pm. Free admission.

Long-table dinner

Take a seat at the table and enjoy a selection of delicious dishes accompanied by exquisite wines. From 6.30 pm to 8 pm.

Live music

The day will round off with live music and a cosy atmosphere at Sergenten. The bar will be open, and everyone is welcome to join in the celebrations. From 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm. Free admission.
