Celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in Haderslev

It all started here — and now Haderslev is kicking off the celebrations of 500 years of the Reformation! Haderslev has its very own Reformation story. It’s no coincidence that the city is also known as “Wittenberg of the North.” It’s been 500 years since the Reformation came to Haderslev, and that definitely calls for a celebration! The programme includes a flower exhibition by Johnny Haugaard, a singing marathon, concerts in the Cathedral, historical events, talks and much more. Follow along here: 500 Reformation Haderslev

Flower exhibition with Johnny Haugaard

From 12 September to 31 October, the Ridehuset at Haderslev Harbour will be transformed into a spectacular flower universe, as Danish floral artist Johnny Haugaard puts his own creative spin on the Luther Rose.

The Luther Rose was created as Martin Luther’s personal seal and later became one of the best-known symbols of the Reformation.

Johnny Haugaard is known for creating amazing floral worlds where nature, art and storytelling come together. At Ridehuset, the Luther Rose will be the centrepiece of an experience designed to surprise, inspire and make you think.

Tickets for the exhibition will be available through Johnny Haugaard’s website: https://johnnyhaugaard.com/
