Søster Is is all about a shared family passion for ice cream and desserts, right in the heart of Haderslev’s lively city life. The café was named Best Ice Cream Parlor in Southern Jutland in 2022, 2023, and most recently 2025.
Here you’ll find homemade ice cream, takeaway options, and coffee. Flavors are always changing, and each week there’s a new “Ice Cream of the Week.” There are always at least two sorbets on offer, plus gluten-free waffles, so there’s something for everyone.
It’s all about tasty experiences that awaken every sense. Ice cream is made fresh from scratch daily, using seasonal ingredients with a focus on quality, taste, and local produce. Step behind the counter and you’ll see salted caramel being cooked, strawberries being prepared, and ice cream layers carefully crafted – and the team is always happy to share the passion and family story behind Søster Is.
The café has 15 seats inside and outside, but you can also grab your ice cream to go for a stroll through Haderslev – whether it’s to the harbor, the lake, or along the pedestrian street.
