Løgumkloster
Løgumkloster – colloquially Kloster, is located in the middle of Tønder Municipality. The town is one of the municipality's central towns with a good selection of shops and restaurants.
Løgumkloster has a long and rich history, dating back to the founding of a Cistercian monastery in 1173. The town grew up around the monastery and church, and in the Middle Ages the monastery was an important center for agriculture, fishing and milling. After the Reformation in 1536, the monastery was closed, but Løgumkloster continued to play a role as an administrative center and later as a place with a focus on church life and education
