The Fossil Hunting Club in Gram Clay Pit - A Treasure Hunt in the Past
Do you love outdoor adventures and are you fascinated by shark teeth and whale fossils? Then the Fossil Hunting Club at Gram Clay Pit is just right for you! This summer (weeks 27 and 32), you have the chance to become a palaeontologist for a day.
What is the Fossil Hunting Club?
The club is a community for children and young people from 3rd grade up to 16 years old. Together, we explore the secrets of the past. On a fossil hunt in the Gram Clay Pit, you'll search for fossils of sea creatures that lived 10 million years ago. At the museum and in the lab, you'll also examine exciting fossils from many different animals.
Summer Holiday Programme – Weeks 27 and 32
Join us for a fossil hunt during the summer holidays!
In week 27, you can choose between Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
In week 32, the programme runs Tuesday through Friday.
Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Theme: How we excavate fossils
Throughout the summer, visitors often discover many different fossils. Some of them are excavated by the museum itself because they are especially interesting or rare. This week, we’ll focus on a special excavation and show how fossils are uncovered without being damaged. The same programme runs on all days.
