The park is for everyone - children, young people and adults - but it also has a very special mission. People who are outside the labour market run and develop the park, making it a recreational gem for Sønderborg Municipality's citizens and tourists. They look after, care for and develop the park as part of their path towards new opportunities in the labour market.
When you visit the park, you are helping to bring life to a meaningful community where people can grow - both professionally and personally.

What can you experience at Activity Park Guderup?

• Nature experiences - Explore the green areas and cosy seating areas where you can enjoy peace and quiet or a picnic in the open air.
• Activity zones - Unfold yourself on ball fields, playgrounds and training facilities that invite play, sport and movement for all ages.
• Play and learn - Use the park as a setting for play and learning, for example with your school class, kindergarten or leisure organisation.
• Meet people - and make a difference - The park is run by integration citizens in Sønderborg Municipality who are working their way towards a permanent job. When you meet them, you get an insight into the important role they play in making Activity Park Guderup a unique and vibrant place.

History of the place - a tradition of developing people

Egen Mark has for many years been a place where people develop and receive support to get closer to the labour market.

• Back in 1985, the production school was established to help young people in particular find their place in the labour market.
• In 2007, the production company Alsmic at Egen Markvej 1 was merged with the production school at Egen Mark 8. In 2019, the production schools were reorganised into FGU, as we know it today.
• For a number of years, Alsmic has collaborated with Sønderborg Municipality to develop and support young people and other unemployed people on the edge of the labour market. Currently, Alsmic and Jobcenter Sønderborg are collaborating on the ‘Green Tourism’ employment programme. Here, the unemployed participate in tasks that develop their skills to enter the labour market.
• In 2025, the work obligation for integration citizens on social assistance came into force, and Jobcenter Sønderborg moved into Egen Markvej 8 with a specially organised utility initiative for those covered by the work obligation.
• Until 2030, Jobcenter Sønderborg and FGU-Sønderjylland will share the address for their activities. The area now has two strong players working together to develop people to take part in the labour market.
