The open-air play at the site of the Cathrinesminde Brickworks can be seen from 16 to 21 June.

It is based on Linda Lassen’s book *Men sko må jeg ha* (*But I Must Have Shoes*), which tells the story of Henriette Gubi, a travelling teacher from Sønderjylland who lived from 1856 to 1894. The play, dramatised by Brian Wind-Hansen, depicts her impoverished life, her self-sacrificing dedication to the Danish cause and an ill-fated love affair.

The brickworks play is performed in Danish and is organised by the association Cathrinesmindes Venner
