The Royal Kitchen Garden at Gråsten
It is truly regal, with its winding footpaths, stylish herb beds and trellis and not to forget, the beautiful rows of fruit trees. Then there is also the location where the opposite neighbour is the royal family's summer residence - Gråsten Castle with its garden and church.
The Royal Kitchen Garden at Gråsten is a cooperation between the Agency for Culture and Palaces and Sønderborg Municipality. An important part of the project is economic and social sustainability as well as local support.
The gardener’s from the Royal Palace Garden run the kitchen garden in close cooperation with the Green Team from “Væksthuset” who also manage the café and the shop. “Væksthuset” is a section of the social psychiatry in the municipality of Sønderborg Kommune.
