To Mure

At the path leading from the bus station to Kongevej, you will pass the sculpture `Two Walls´ by Erik Heide, erected in 1990.

During the work in spring 1986, the artist writes to Veksølund Skulpturcenter, where the sculpture is to be exhibited, that he is working on `Two walls´ - One wall of nothing; a Bird-wall made in cast iron – One wall of everything; an Earth an Water wall made of concrete and sand stone. >>Quote: Maybe a couple of walls like these will be nice to seek shelter at on a windy day or perhaps the walls will to keep on to the sun and the rain in the space surrounding us. This depends on my choice, i get worried by the thought, I’ll better go out and finish the walls – that’s all for now.
