Meet Haderslev Kjøbstads Vægterlaug at juli 17th at our tourist information centre and get the chance to win 2x2 tickets to one of this summer's Night Watchmen tours!
Summer event: On 17 July there's something going on at VisitHaderslev!
Then we welcome Haderslev Kjøbstads Vægterlaug - Haderslev's night watchmen - as our guests.
From 12.00 p.m., the night watchmen will parade through the pedestrian zone in front of our tourist information centre in traditional costume, singing and then return to us. There you can talk to them, ask questions, take souvenir photos - and if you like, you can try the typical watchman schnapps ‘vægterdram’. For children, there is of course a non-alcoholic version and a small sweet treat.
While the little ones can get creative and draw, we invite the grown-ups to take part in our little Wächter quiz:
You can win 2x2 tickets for a summer guard tour (redeemable in summer 2025 or summer 2026 at the latest).
What do you have to do? Just answer three questions about the history of Haderslev's town watchmen! You can pick up the questionnaire from us at the tourist information office from 11 July. If you want to have the correctness of your answers confirmed again, you should definitely come back to us on 17 July and talk to the guards. The completed slip of paper can then simply be placed in our quiz box, which you will find at the front of the Tourist Information Centre.
The competition runs until 21 July 2025 - we will then draw two lucky winners at 12.00 noon and notify them by email on the same day.
