The Inn: Den gamle Grænsekro
Den Gamle Grænsekro is a royally privileged inn from 1660, situated in scenic surroundings near the historic town of Christiansfeld. The restaurant offers classic Danish inn cuisine in cozy and traditional settings. The menu features dishes like wienerschnitzel with pan-fried potatoes, peas, and browned butter sauce, as well as pancakes with vanilla ice cream and blackberry jam. The inn is renowned for its warm atmosphere and friendly service, making it an ideal choice for families, couples, and gatherings.
With its 350 year old background, the inn "Den Gamle Grænsekro", Frederikshøj, one of Denmarks royally licenced inns, is one of the most friendly resting places, in which traditions and historical values are honoured greatly. In this long span of years, only three families have been in charge of the upkeep of this old inn, the origins of which dates as far back as approximately the year 1600.
