Hulk in Augustiana

Hidden among the trees in the park, a muscular green shape stands glaring at you!

From the White Palace, you have walked across the lawn, past the Augustiana Tree with its carvings, and into the small forest path, when suddenly you spot something between the trees.

The monster bares its teeth. The hand on one muscular arm is clenched, while the other prepares for a powerful, swinging blow.

As he stands there among the trees at Augustiana Kunstpark & Kunsthal, you expect a growl that turns into a roar, but luckily for you, he is frozen in silent rage - the almighty Hulk!

The sculpture of the world-famous Hulk was created in 2001-2002 by visual artist Ole Lorin Rasmussen and was loaned to Sønderborg from 2008 to 2021, when it was purchased by the Municipality of Sønderborg.
