The South Jutland Amateur Symphony Orchestra (SASO), based in Aabenraa, is giving an unusual concert in the BHJ Hall in Gråsten.
The programme consists entirely of programme music, i.e. works intended to represent something other than music itself. Throughout the concert, SASO’s presenter Jens Krause will explore the relationship between the music and the corresponding images that the audience can see in the programme.
Enrico Rafaëlis will perform as a soloist on the English horn in two of the works. These are pieces by Dvořák: ‘A Beautiful New World’ and Sibelius: ‘The Swan of Tuonela’.
Enrico Rafaëlis has a long career behind him as principal oboist with the Flensburg Regional Orchestra, and he plays with incredible beauty and sensitivity, so there is much to look forward to. SASO has enjoyed an exemplary collaboration with Enrico for several years.
SASO’s principal conductor, Bettina van Buren, will be leading the performance with her enthusiasm, friendliness and exceptionally high professional standards.
Tickets can be purchased at the door: DKK 100.
