If you want a bit of roof over your head at night but still have the feeling of camping outdoors, then a shelter is a good choice.

Overnight stay under "almost" open sky
The shelters in the Sønderborg Municipality all have a fire pit; some have a table-bench set, and a few have access to drinking water.
Shelters are often available on a "first come, first served" basis - they cannot be booked in advance! However, there are some exceptions, such as the Kær Vestermark Shelter and Tent site, as well as the Hay-Hotels, which can be booked in advance.
