The hotel is called Alsik, and opened in 2019. It has 190 rooms and suites, which are all furnished in Nordic style. 90 percent of the rooms have sea views.
The hotel complex consists of two towers of 19 and 70 metres respectively. So the view will be fantastic – and even if you aren’t staying or eating at the hotel, you can still enjoy it. There is a public viewing platform on the 16th floor in the large tower, from which visitors can look out over the surrounding landscape from a height of almost 64 metres.
Alsik was designed by the world-famous Henning Larsen Architects, and is a combined hotel, conference, resort and spa complex. The hotel is run by the German company RIMC, which primarily focuses on business guests during the week and tourists at the weekend – in addition to conferences and events. Alsik is the biggest health resort and conference hotel of Sønderjylland, whilst the spa- and wellness area, which takes up four floors, will be the largest in Denmark. The spa has its own entrance and can also be used by people not staying at the hotel.
