Family-run campsite with large water park.
Sandersvig Camping & Tropeland is a modern campsite that is ideal for families with children.
Family life is paramount at one of Sønderjylland’s biggest campsites – Sandersvig Camping & Tropeland – which lies northeast of Haderslev close to the Little Belt.
The campsite is run by the Holst family – mum, dad and two grown-up children in the guise of Hanne, Johannes, Marie and Mads, in addition to Christina Boysen, who is also an important part of the camping family. It was founded in 1962 by Johannes’ parents, Peter and Bodil Holst, who had a smallholding that is now part of the campsite.
Although approaching its 60th anniversary, the campsite has remained up -to-date and offers lots of different activities. If you get bored during a stay at Sandersvig Camping & Tropeland, you really only have yourself to blame.
Sandersvig is famous for its tropical waterpark with an air temperature of 31 degrees and a water temperature of 28 degrees. Furthermore, the water park has a large water chute, sauna and Jacuzzi, and is extremely popular with guests of all ages.
If you prefer to swim in the sea, the campsite is only 300 metres from a child-friendly beach.
The campsite also has a huge jumping pillow, slides and Astroturf tennis courts, in addition to which bingo, pool parties and various other activities are organised.
Sandersvig Camping & Tropeland is well-known for its large 12 x 12-metre pitches. The campsite has 470 units, with a further 300 on the way. Five-star cabins with kitchen and shower are also available for rent.
One of the campsite’s biggest hits is its many animals, including horses, sheep, hens and rabbits. The campsite also has an 8-hectare deer park that is home to red deer. Guests at the site can help feed many of the animals, and you’re welcome to pat and stroke them.
The campsite is also perfect for dogs, with an off-leash dog park, dog bath and agility training course.
